.Teresa "The Jersey Hammer" Denise Walker of Lehigh Acres, 59, entered into a new life of eternal happiness and peace on Saturday August 5, 2017 after a tenuous battle with cancer. She was born January 11, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York to John and Rae Fenlon. Teresa graduated from Madison Township High School in Old Bridge, NJ. She gave birth to her first child, Craig in Lakenheath England. She then gave birth to her other three children, Rachel, Nadine, and Taylor in Oklahoma City. Teresa spent her last 6 years in Florida with her family enjoying the beach. Teresa was an amazing, strong and beautiful woman inside and out. She enjoyed living life to the fullest and very little got in her way. She never complained and made the best out of everything. She found comfort in her faith and family. There are not enough words to describe how she positively impacted the lives of those who entered her sphere. She is such an inspiration to everyone and she will truly be missed. Teresa was loved by all. She was a very special person who had never met a stranger and will continue to inspire others to live with her strength and love. Teresa enjoyed tea time, reading, shopping, the salon, an adult beverage or ten, knitting, and most importantly quality time with her family, but let's not forget about the memories of her free spirit on the dance floor. Dullness was not part of Teresa's aura--she would either make you laugh with her infectious wit or silliness that would put a smile on your face. She was always a pleasure to be around with her sweet and nurturing demeanor. She was someone who would help anyone that she could, even if it meant she would have to go without. She loved collecting books, tea pots, bells, clothes, and jewelry.
Teresa was preceded in death by her mother, Rae Fenlon and her brothers: Timmy and Russell. She is survived by her children: Craig Walker, Rachel Walker, Nadine Rickey (partner Joe McGovern), and Taylor Brock and his wife Kathryn Vitiello; Granddaughter, Harper Rickey; Dad: John Fenlon; siblings: Robert Fenlon, Audrey (Bob) Incorvia, Lisa (PJ) McGowan, John Fenlon, Kenny Fenlon, and her nieces and nephew: TJ, Nicole, Brittany, Melissa, Jenny, Jess, Shayla, and Franki as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, her long-time companion Eddie Graham and many other friends. Teresa will continue to live through each of us in our own individual ways a strong-hearted and one heck of a fighter. Ride Teresa Ride!
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 3 pm until the Celebration of Life service at 4 pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Naple's Shelter for Abused Woman and Children on her behalf. Info (239) 334-4880
